By Breaking Belize News Staff: The National Meteorological Service today forecasts cloudy skies with a few showers and thunderstorms mostly over the coast and central Belize this morning, increasing and spreading to most areas this afternoon. Tonight skies will be cloudy to overcast with some showers, thunderstorms and periods of rain especially over central areas.
High temperatures will be 86 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, 88 in the inland areas and 79 degrees in the hills. Tonight’s low temperatures are 78 degrees along the coast; 72 degrees inland and 67 degrees in the hills.
Winds are easterly to southeasterly at 10 to 20 knots. The seas will be light chop to choppy with waves of two to five feet, becoming choppy to rough with waves of three to seven feet. A small craft caution is in effect for gusty winds and locally rough seas near heavy showers and thunderstorms.
Tides will be low at 2:41 this afternoon and high at 9:02 this evening. Sunset this evening is at 6:21 and sunrise on Wednesday is at 5:34.
Wednesday will see continuing cloudy skies with some showers, periods of rain and isolated thunderstorms, decreasing and lingering over the south in the night.
