Three criminal charges for Troy Banner’s third child abuse allegation

By Benjamin Flowers: Thirty-one-year-old Camalote Village resident Troy Banner is facing three criminal charges following a brutal assault on a 15-day-old child.

On Monday, Banner was formally arrested and charged with one count of grievous harm, one count of cruelty to a child and one count of wounding.

The child was admitted to the Western Regional hospital on Saturday with a broken arm, mouth abrasions, and bruises to the back. Banner claims that the baby fell off the bed.

The incident marks the third time Banner has been accused of seriously wounding a small child.

Crystalee August, the mother of the first child he is accused of harming, gave an interview to Love FM alleging that he hit her child in the head so hard, the blow distorted the shape of the child’s head; however, Banner was never convicted of any offense according to August.

In the second incident, Banner was accused of brutalizing his own two-month-old son and causing injuries which eventually led to the child’s death, but again, there was no conviction.
