Xunantunich Ferry is now open

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: The ferry at San Jose Succotz to access the Xunantunich Archaeological Reserve is now open for vehicular crossing, said the Institute of Archaeology (IA)/NICH.

At the same time, IA/NICH advises that all other archaeological reserves in Belize are open for visitation.

“The IA/NICH will continue to monitor river conditions and provide necessary updates,” said a press release by IA/NICH while at the same time advising visitors “to exercise caution at all times, be aware of weather conditions and the possibility of flash floods.”
