By Breaking Belize News Staff: Ladyville resident, 23-year-old Shackeem Ferguson, was arraigned in the Belize City Magistrate’s Court today, for attempted murder in relation to the shooting of a 62-year-old woman on Saturday, December 3.
Ferguson appeared unrepresented in court and was additionally read one count of use of deadly means of harm and one count of dangerous harm upon the victim, Diamantina Hernadez.
Ferguson could not make a plea as the charges are indictable and the case will be heard in the Supreme Court.
Bail was denied and Ferguson was remanded to the Belize Central Prison until February 7, 2023.
Ferguson is accused of going to Hernandez’s home around 10:55 p.m. and firing several shots, one of which caught Hernandez in the right upper back.
