By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: English singer and songwriter and Grammy award winner, Adele professed her love for football star, Lionel Messi during a show in Las Vegas, Yahoo Sports reports.

The singer spoke to the public saying thank God they (Argentina) won on penalties referring to the quarterfinals match between Argentina and the Netherlands.

“Thank God Argentina won on penalties. I love you, Messi, I love you,” Adele said.

Argentina will take on France this Sunday for the World Cup finals.
