Woman accused of stabbing San Pedro man

By Aaron Humes: Police are investigating a reported stabbing incident on Ambergris Caye over the weekend.

One Omari Nal and his common-law wife were talking with another woman at his home on Monday night when the second woman asked for a glass of water, police say.

As the common-law wife went to get the water, police believe the second woman apparently stabbed Nal in the left shoulder.

Investigations continue as Nal recovers in hospital in Belize City after being treated in San Pedro Town; the woman has been detained by police. According to police, the injured man and his accused attacker had recently quarrelled.
