International News: Mexican authorities find over 200 migrants, mostly Guatemalans in trailer

By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: On Tuesday, Mexico’s National Institute of migration said that authorities found 269 migrants, mostly Guatemalans in Chiapas, Reuters report.

Authorities stopped a white trailer at a checkpoint and found 269 migrants crammed inside.

Three of the migrants were from El Salvador, 3 from Ecuador, 2 from Honduras and the rest were Guatemalans.

In addition, 20 of those in the trailer were unaccompanied minors.

They were all taken to immigration offices to determine their status.
