Progresso manage 2-2 draw against Verdes in Premier League of Belize

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: Progresso managed to pull off a 2-2 draw against Verdes at the People’s Stadium in Orange Walk and both dropped in the Premier League of Belize rankings.

Progresso dropped from 3^rd to 5^th while Verdes fell from 4^th to 6^th.

Zamir Bonilla hit the opener in the second minute for Progresso.

Verdes drew even through a goal by Jerome James in the 46^th and then went ahead on a second goal that was converted by Trimayne ‘Pepa’ Harris in the 78^th.

When everyone thought Progresso had let it slip away, Leocadio ‘Peely’ Briceño netted the equalizer in the 90^th minute.

Progresso now have nine points to Verdes’ eight.

Come the weekend, Progresso will travel to Belize City to take on PLB leaders Port Layola on Sunday, while Verdes will host Champions Altitude in San Ignacio that same day.
