Another illegal firearm found in western Belize

By Breaking Belize News Staff: Police anti-firearms operations continued recently with another gun found in the Cayo district.

On Friday, officers in Benque Viejo Town where they found a .9mm pistol.

No one was in the area at the time, so the weapon was labelled as found property.

Police found around 5 illegal firearms in the Cayo district alone last week, along with illegal ammunition and even an illegal bullet proof vest. While the majority of the finds have been found property, police have arrested and charged four men from the Cayo district in connection with one incident regarding illegal firearms.
