Belize play Guatemala on Friday in U-15 Uncaf Boys Championship in Costa Rica

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: The Under-15 Belize Boys National Team (BBNT) is playing against Guatemala on Friday in the 2023 Under-15 Central American Football Union (Uncaf) Boys Championship being held in Costa Rica.

Belize’s game against Guatemala kicks off at 11:00 am on Friday, April 28 at Liga Deportiva Alajuelense’s High Performance Center in Alajuela, just outside San José.

The BBNT arrived in San José, Costa Rica, late Wednesday night and did a light training at the venue on Thursday.

Belize is in Group B along with Honduras, Panama, and Guatemala. Costa Rica, Nicaragua, El Salvador, and invited guests Puerto Rico are playing in Group A.

After the Guatemala game, Belize play against Honduras on Sunday, April 30 at 3:00 pm. Belize will then face Panama at 11:00 am on Tuesday, May 2, to close off group play.

The BBNT will play a final ranking game on Thursday, May 4.

The tournament is being played in San José and Alajuela.
