Imari Galvez’s remains to be laid to rest today

By Breaking Belize News Staff: The remains of 19-year-old Imari Galvez will be laid to rest this afternoon in Belmopan.

Her body will be buried in a private ceremony in the Salvapan area of Belmopan with family and friends in attendance.

The Belmopan community is still reeling from the shocking and horrific discovery of Galvez’s body earlier this week after she went missing over the weekend. Since her body was found, two suspects have been detained in connection with her murder as the investigation continues.

A candlelight vigil will be held in her honor on Monday evening in Belmopan. Several organisations have also issued statements calling for justice for Imari Galvez in the wake of her shocking murder.
