Teenager, 17, accused in Friday shooting of Tyrel Robinson; brother, 19, charged with helping him

By Aaron Humes: Two brothers, aged 17 and 19, are accused respectively of attempted murder and abetment to commit murder on Tyrel Robinson on Bocotora Street on Friday.

Robinson was attacked by two men on bicycles but managed to escape injury.

The older boy has been identified as Troy Gentle who is accused of aiding the accused shooter in the commission of a would-be murder.

Both appeared before Magistrate Khiana Gordon who did not take a plea from either as the matter will be tried on indictment. Due to the nature of the offenses bail was denied to both.

In the case of the minor, who turns 18 later this year, he will be remanded to the Wagners Youth Facility, while Gentle was remanded to the Belize Central Prison until September 4, when both will return to court.
