Leader of the Opposition meets with former Grenada Prime Minister Dr Keith Mitchell

By Aaron Humes: Belize’s Leader of the Opposition Moses “Shyne” Barrow is in St George’s, Grenada, meeting with its former Prime Minister and current Leader of the Opposition, Dr Keith Mitchell.

Mitchell has led the New National Party (NNP) since 1989 and twice served as Prime Minister, and as noted by Barrow is the only Caribbean or Commonwealth leader to lead his party to win all Parliamentary seats on three different occasions. (Grenada has 15 seats in its Parliament compared to Belize’s 31).

Barrow wrote: “The wisdom and knowledge to be gained by engaging with such iconic leaders is invaluable. I will continue to lean on former Prime Minister Mitchell for guidance so the UDP can employ his proven winning strategies as we prepare to form the next Government of Belize.”
