Businessman’s car shot up in Gungulung

By Aaron Humes: A businessman’s vehicle was shot at on Sunday morning before noon in the Gungulung area of Belize City.

The owner of Kelly’s Cool Spot at Barbara Harris Street, Arthur Tillett, told police that he arrived at his business at 20 minutes to noon; after five minutes inside, he heard between six and seven loud bangs similar to gun shots. He then came outside to see his silver Honda CR-V SUV damaged in the rear portion.

Initial investigation by police further revealed that about 11:45 a.m. on Sunday, two men, one dressed in a grey shirt and a blue cap and the other wearing a Rasta cap and a green shirt approached the yard and started firing shots towards the house and vehicle in the yard and then escaped through an unnamed street off Barbara Harris Street.

Police are investigating.
