By Rubén Morales Iglesias: Benque Viejo United’s defeated Police Benque 1-0 in the Benque derby at the Edmund Marshalleck Stadium in Benque Viejo del Carmen on Saturday.

Andres Makin struck the only goal of the match in the 79^th minute of the Premier League of Belize (PLB) match.

Benque Viejo United secured their second victory and sit in second place behind leaders Verdes.

Police Benque, on the other hand, lost their second consecutive match of the young tournament.

In the other games, Verdes downed Altitude 1-0, Port Layola whipped Wagiya 5-2, and Bandits double up 2-1 on Progresso.
