Man accused of molesting 12-year-old remanded to prison

By Breaking Belize News Staff: Arden Dale Sentino, 47, a Police Street, Belize City resident has been remanded to prison after being charged with sexual assault and being unable to settle an old fine.

Sentino appeared in court unrepresented on Wednesday and was read a single count of sexual assault. The prosecution had objected to bail but the magistrate, after considering the circumstances, offered him bail with stringent conditions.

An old fine of $1,005 for a Covid-time SOE offense, however, remained outstanding and he could not pay so he was remanded to prison.
