UDP Leader says new City Administrator will be “disaster at City Hall”

By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: Reports indicate that the Councilors of the Belize City Council are divided on the appointment of new City Administrator Albert Vaughan.

UDP Leader Shyne Barrow has criticized the PUP for Vaughan’s appointment at City Hall and said, “Albert Vaughn is going to be a disaster at city hall.”

“I saw that six councilors object to Mr Vaughn. I think that speaks volume as to where they are as far as transparency as far as democracy and having the majority have its say. What reflects is a dictatorship so the boss says Briceno the boss says go with Vaughn because Vaughn is team “us” and we will run over everyone else that’s what it sounds like to me,” Barrow stated during an interview with 7News Belize.

“But again, why am I complaining because for us it’s good. Albert Vaughn is going to be a disaster at city hall,” he added.
