Ramon Witz wins UDP Convention in Cayo South

BBN Staff: Ramon Witz, the former area representative for the Cayo South Division won the UDP convention for that division today.

Witz received 839 votes, Ralph Huang received 428 votes, and Ramon Aleman received 111 votes.

There were 19 rejected votes.

A total of 1,397 voters participated in the UDP convention.

Witz will now face Julius Espat of the PUP in the next General Elections.

It is interesting to note that Espat defeated Witz in the 2012 General Elections by 459 votes, and since then Espat has retained the seat for the PUP.
