Two young men targeted in Martins’ Area

By Aaron Humes: Belize City men Rasheed Coffin, 19, and Eric Castillo, 20, are stable at the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital after being shot Tuesday night.

According to police, Coffin was hit to the right elbow area and Castillo in the back. 

The men were standing on Estella Metzgen Street near Tibruce Street just after 8:30 p.m. when they were approached by someone not known them, coming from the direction of Oleander Street. He opened fire as many as four times, injuring Coffin and Castillo.

Police are investigating.
