Monday, July 21, 2014. JUAN CAAL Reporting: Residents of Barranco village in the Toledo district are awaiting approval of formal application for land to be used for agriculture purposes.
Over three dozen applications were delivered to Minister of Natural Resources and Agriculture Gaspar Vega last week by the chairman of Barranco village Joseph Palacio and secretary of the village council Francis Arzu.
According to Arzu the land being applied for will be of great agriculture benefit to the community of Barranco as they plan to explore all agriculture opportunities.
Arzu says the village council has been given assurances that the applications will be processed within a month’s time.
