Punta Gorda Celebrates Mother’s Day

Monday, May 11^th, 2015. Chrisbert Garcia Reporting: Over the weekend, tons of activities and events were held in honor of Mother’s everywhere and in Punta Gorda Town, it was no different.

Last night, the PG Town Council in collaboration with standard bearer Eden Martinez, hosted the annual Mother’s Day party at the Benjamin Westby Hollywood Basketball Court in PG.

In attendance were more than 200 mothers who were showered with gifts, food and drinks and enjoyed live entertainment all night long. It was a fun-filled program and the largest of its kind in PG thus far.

Mayor Fern Guttierez was present at the event and said that the Toledo East Constituency is thankful for the Prime Minister’s continuous support in transforming Punta Gorda Town.

The Basketball court in which the event took place last night, has recently received a $30,000 facelift, funded by the Governments PetroCaribe program.
