Domestic dispute ends in murder

BBN Staff: On Friday morning around 5:52 in the Salvapan area of Belmopan, police discovered the badly cut and bleeding body of Maria Candelaria Reymundo, 45, who had been involved in a

domestic dispute with her 35-year-old boyfriend, Jaird Jeremias Guerra.

Reymundo was cut to the neck and right side of the face and survived for less than two hours after the incident, being pronounced dead at Western Regional Hospital 7:40 a.m. Initial investigation revealed that she and Guerra got into a heated argument and in a fit of rage, he stabbed her.

Guerra has since been arrested and charged for the offense of ‘murder’.
