80 year old Baptist Pastor murdered in Cayo

By BBN Staff: A well known senior citizen and Pastor, who was liked in his community was found dead tonight at his farm in Esperanza village, Cayo.

According to Police reports, the 80 year old Pastor was allegedly beaten to death.

The victim is identified as Pastor Florencio Bardalez of the Baptist Church in San Ignacio town.

His body was transported to the San Ignacio morgue where it will await the conduct of a post-mortem to officially certify the cause of death.

Police are to make an official report tomorrow.

BBN expresses condolences to the family and friends of Pastor Bardalez, and the larger Baptist community that he served.
