Toddler killed in tragic accident

BBN Staff: Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a toddler.

 

Yesterday evening around 4:00, Teakettle resident Elba Cruz, 30, was reversing her SUV in a yard in Teakettle village, Cayo.

 

While reversing, however, she accidentally ran over  2-year-old Sophy Reyes.

 

The child was rushed to the Western Regional Hospital where she was pronounced dead on arrival.

 

Police investigations continue.
