Belize on list of top beach spots to retire

BBN Staff: San Pedro Ambergris Caye continues to capture the eyes of many visitors for its pristine waters and sandy beaches.

An article from US News lists San Pedro Ambergris Caye as a top place to retire on the beach.

The article says that La Isla Bonita is on America’s radar for its reef and the great Blue Hole.

Belize’s natural wonders are “supported by a fully -fledged expat community and all the accoutrements that go with it”, the article states.

San Pedro is described as a “sandy chic beach town of white picket fences, wine and cheese shops, delis, golf cart rental agencies, bakeries and art galleries.”

Although, San Pedranos have accommodated the expat population, the island retains its authentic Belizean undertones.
