Deputy Prime Minister awards first athletes to use new Civic Center

By BBN Staff: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Education, Youth, Sports and Culture, Patrick Faber presented an award of appreciation to the high school teams playing in today’s friendly matches at the Belize Civic Center this afternoon during an opening ceremony before the games.

The games are the first to be held at the newly constructed Civic Center in Belize city.

In the first game, the Anglican Cathedral College female basketball team will go up against the E.P. Yorke high school team.

In the second game, the young men of Anglican Cathedral College will take on the Sadie Vernon basketball team.
