By BBN Staff: Today, the Special Envoy for Women and Children, Kim Simplis Barrow issued a statement expressing sadness for the recent incidences of violence against children.
The statement says that Barrow is especially ‘perturbed’ by news of the death of six-year-old Daisy Acevedo, who lost her life seemingly as a result of negligence.
Barrow urges the public, especially parents to be more vigilant of the doings and whereabouts of children.
In her statement, the Special Envoy said that “Firearms should be appropriately stowed in a location not known or accessible to children.”
