Villager shot by police in Camalote, Cayo

By BBN Staff:  A shooting tonight has left one man injured.

He has been identified as Turman Parham, 44, a resident of Blackman Eddy village in the Cayo District.

He was shot in his stomach and right shoulder.

He remains alive and hospitalized at the Western Regional Hospital in Belmopan.

Information to BBN is that he aggressed police with a weapon and was shot in self defence by police in Camalote.
