Alberto Vargas executed last night in Orange Walk

BBN Staff: Orange Walk police are investigating the murder of a young shop assistant.

According to police, Alberto Vargas Jr., 21, of Orange Walk town, was seated inside his vehicle sometime around 8:00 when a lone gunman shot him two times to his neck.

The culprit was a man whom Vargas had reportedly picked up earlier and was inside his vehicle with him.

After shooting Vargas, the culprit ran out of the vehicle and made good his escape.

Police processed the scene and found two .9mm expended shells.

Police are looking for one main suspect.

Investigations continue.
