By Aaron Humes: Kevon Palmerston, 18, is being held without bail at the Central Prison for reportedly raping a 14-year-old teenager.
The teen in the company of her mother and a social worker reported to authorities that she was raped twice in a week, on August 31st, 2018 and again on September 17th, 2018. There was no indication otherwise of the relationship between them if any.
Police investigated and eventually arrested and charged Palmerston, who appeared without an attorney before Magistrate Khadeen Palmer.
The Magistrate read the charges without taking a plea as the offence is indictable at the Supreme Court.
Due to the nature of the offense, Palmerston was denied bail and remanded into custody at the Belize Central Prison until May 3rd 2019
