Cousin charged for stabbing murder of cousin while conspiracy is alleged

BBN Staff: 21-year-old James Emmanuel Gibson is remanded on a charge of murder of his first cousin, Malcolm Leslie, on Sunday night in the village of Sandhill.

Leslie, we understand, found out that he was being targeted by Gibson and others for reasons unknown. He decided to have it out with his cousin and even threw the first blow. But a single stab wound from a knife ended his life on the spot.

Gibson appeared on Tuesday before Senior Magistrate Tricia Pitts-Anderson who read the charge and did not take a plea. Gibson appeared in court with a facial injury caused, he said, by being hit in the face with a piece of wood.

Gibson is remanded until June 3, 2019, as their families are left to pick up the pieces.
