By BBN Staff: A boat engine thief of Belize City was charged with one count of theft on Wednesday.
He has been identified as Michael Andrews, 28.
According to police, on April 18th Andrews was along with five other men carrying a boat engine on Lavender Street.
When police approached the men, they all made a clean get-a-way except for Andrews.
Police later learned that the engine, valued at $10,000 was stolen from Alfred Aldana’s residence on Tranquil Street in the old capital.
As a result, he was charged and will be taken before the courts.
