By BBN Staff: Police are investigating the murders of two Belmopan teenagers.
According to reports, around 9:50 a.m. yesterday, police responded to a shooting incident on St. Joseph Street, San Martin area, Belmopan.
When authorities arrived, they saw Gruver Lizandro Delgado, 18, and Herman Alexander Valladarez, 16, suffering from gunshot wounds.
Delgado and Valladarez were transported to the Western Regional Hospital where Delgado succumbed to his injuries while receiving treatment.
Valladarez was transported to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital where he was admitted in a critical condition.
Both youths were reportedly at the creek near St. Joseph Street when they were approached by three men.
The youths got into a misunderstanding with one of the men and that is when he pulled out a gun and fired shots at them.
Delgado managed to run away from the gunman, but he was chased and shot.
This morning, Valladarez succumbed to his injuries while receiving treatment.
Police are investigating.
