Ministry of Health celebrates Dental Health Week 2019

By BBN Staff: The Ministry of Health is commemorating Dental Health Week 2019 from October 20 to 26.

The theme this year is “Brush, Floss be the Boss”.

The Ministry of Health notes that it has seen an increase of over 7,000 more patients accessing dental care since 2009 to 2018 across the 10 dental clinics countrywide.

The Ministry says that it continues to improve on the equipment for all clinics countrywide as well as renovating the clinic space at Cleopatra White Health Center since 49% of the patients receiving care are from the Belize district.

The program has now extended to the Belize Defense Force at the Price barracks compound in Ladyville with a new dental clinic and a dentist.

Health professionals are carrying out education campaigns at the different primary schools.
