Belize records first Covid-19 death

By BBN Staff: Reports reaching Breaking Belize News is that patient #4 died this afternoon of Covid-19.

The employee of the Belize City Council tested positive on Friday, April 3, 2020.

A swab was taken, and screening and confirmatory tests were done on the sample confirming the results. The 55-year-old patient from San Ignacio was receiving medical care at the Western Regional hospital.

He was taken to the KHMH for urgent critical care yesterday.
