Minister of Education: ‘Can’t guarantee classes resume by June’

By: Aaron Humes: Minister of Education, Patrick Faber, says he cannot guarantee the reopening of schools by the end of the current school year in June.

The Ministry says it will support home-based and distance learning in conjunction with its various partners, and upload 2-week plans for lessons on its website for pre-school and primary schools. The Ministry is also creating television and radio broadcasts for lessons starting next Monday. The Ministry website is www.moe.gov.bz.

At secondary level, the Ministry will support high schools in planning for continued lessons, while at tertiary level support will be given to the various junior colleges and universities.
