COVID-19 cases reach over 9 million globally

By BBN Staff: Statistics from Worldometer indicates that as of today, there are 9,089,099 cases of COVID-19 around the world.

Four hundred seventy-one thousand, four hundred and ten people have lost their lives to the deadly virus.

The three countries with the most cases are the United States of America, Brazil and Russia.

The US has registered 122,000 deaths and Brazil has registered over 50,000 deaths.

The World Health Organization (WHO) reported a record increase in global coronavirus cases as the total rose by 183,020 in a 24-hour period.

The biggest increase was from the Americas, with more than 116,000 new cases.
