Police say thank you to citizens today

By Aaron Humes: The Belize Police Department is doing some community outreach today among the citizens it is sworn to serve.

Today, Wednesday, is Citizens Appreciation Day, a day to accentuate the positive work of the Department’s officers and salute those who have helped the Department do its job according to Commissioner of Police Chester Williams.

Officers on the beat and at the checkpoints will be speaking words of gratitude, not asking for your driver’s license (though best not to skip bringing it).

The Police will be out serving breakfast to the homeless and giving certificates of appreciation to select citizens.

And police headquarters countrywide will be open for tours and queries.
