BDF officer tests positive for COVID-19

By BBN Staff: An officer of the Belize Defence Force (BDF) has tested positive for COVID-19. The officer is reportedly based at Price Barracks in Ladyville.

The BDF issued a statement informing that the officer is asymptomatic and in isolation at home.

The BDF says that despite this first detected case, it will continue its implementation and enforcement of administrative measures, quarantine, isolation and source control to limit transmission of symptomatic COVID-19 and ensure the continual of activities.
