Man in police custody after murder of Andrew Flores

By Aaron Humes: Police have in custody Whitefield Fisher; the man authorities believe is responsible for Belize City’s latest murder.

Fisher is accused of plotting with another man and committing the murder of 34-year-old Andrew Flores on September 10 at their joint residence on Kelly Street.

Police ascribed Flores’ death by slash wound to the throat to an argument between the men. But an eyewitness, the partner of the deceased Flores, said that Fisher and another man was later sent from the house, had been discussing killing Flores for reasons unknown, and that Fisher committed the deed that evening when Flores confronted him.

Flores leaves behind an infant son.
