Ministry of Health: 16 new Covid-19 cases identified, 64 recovered

By BBN Staff: Yesterday, The Ministry of Health issued a statement indicating that they have identified 16 new cases of Covid-19 in Belize. 

The 16 new cases were identified with the breakdown as follows:

Cayo District – 2 (1 in San Ignacio, 1 in Bullet Tree)
Belize District – 6 (all in Belize City)
Orange Walk District – 8 (6 in Orange Walk Town, 1 San Estevan, 1 San Felipe)

Health officials also confirmed that 64 people have recovered from the virus.

Belize has registered 1,606 cases of Covid-19 and currently has 710 active cases. According to The Ministry of Health, active cases now stand at 44.2% of the total confirmed cases.
