Vehicle goes up in flames in Belize City – Was it arson?

By BBN Staff: There was a vehicle fire on Banak Street in Belize City last night, and authorities are investigating the possibility of it being a case of arson.

The vehicle’s owner, Ellis Meighan, told police that he had secured the vehicle properly earlier in the night but around 10:55 p.m. he heard a loud explosion. Upon investigation, he saw the vehicle on fire and three men running away from the scene.

Authorities were called to the scene and the blaze was extinguished.
