New Liquor Licensing Board and Traffic Control Committee appointed in San Pedro

By BBN Staff: The San Pedro Town Council and the Liquor Licensing Board informed today that a new board has been appointed effective January 2021.

The responsibilities of the Board include to hear and determine applications for the issue, renewal, or transfer of licenses and all matters connected therewith or the forfeiture, cancellation, or suspension of licenses within its jurisdiction.

The new Board members are as follows:

Johnia Duarte – Chairperson

Marina Kay – Vice Chairperson

Ian Pou – Member

Eduardo Aguilar – Member

Councilor Ruben Gonzalez – Ex-Oficio Member

A new Ambergris Caye Traffic Control Committee was also appointed.

The Committee is assigned to hear and determine applications for the issue, renewal, or transfer of vehicle permits and all matters connected therewith or the forfeiture, cancellation, or suspension of permits within its jurisdiction.

The new Committee members are as follows:

Reymundo Nuñez – Chairperson

Santos Acosta – Vice Chairperson

Yvette Martin – Member

Javier Williams – Member

Marconi Leal Jr. – Member

Tirso Galvez – Member

Mayor Daniel Guerrero – Member

Councilor Ruben Gonzalez – Ex-Oficio Member

Any questions or queries in regards to existing or new applications for liquor licenses or vehicle permits must be submitted in writing and addressed to the Chairperson of the respective board.
