Hillview resident says land consultation helped her

Posted: Saturday, February 20, 2021. 8:38 pm CST.

By BBN Staff: Today, the Ministry of Natural Resources concluded its 2-day land consultation in Cayo Central.

Sandra Lopez, a resident of Hillview in Santa Elena told BBN that she arrived to find out about her land.

To her surprise, she discovered that in September 2020, her land was reportedly sold to another person.

Lopez told us that she has lived in her home at the same location for 18 years.

“I live in Hillview. I came here because the previous area representative refused to help me. When I reached here, I found out that the land that I live on for 18 years done sell. Now, thank God, I got through and I got my documents,” Lopez said.
