Weather: March starts with continuing fair weather

By BBN Staff: The National Meteorological Service says fair weather continues, with today’s forecast calling for sunny skies with cloudy spells today and partly cloudy skies tonight.

High temperatures are 87 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast; 91 degrees inland; and 77 degrees in the hills. Tonight, low temperatures are 78 degrees along the coast; 70 degrees in the interior and 65 degrees in the hills.

Winds are from the east to southeast at 10 to 20 knots. Sea state is rough with high waves of six to nine feet; a small craft warning is in effect and small crafts should remain in safe harbor.

Tides were low at 5:40 a.m. and will be again at 5:53 p.m., and high at 11:32 a.m. The Sun rose at 6:11 a.m. and will set at a minute to six this evening.

The outlook for Tuesday and Tuesday night is for only isolated showers to continue around the country.
