By Aaron Humes: The village of Santa Elena, Toledo District, has seen the sharpest rise in COVID-19 cases, recording another 21 today.
The vilage is 55 miles west of Punta Gorda Town and 16 miles west of San Antonio village, which has the other two cases reported from Toledo today.
Belize District reported 8 cases: 5 in Belize City, and one each in Hattieville, Ladyville and Lords Bank.
Orange Walk District has six new cases: four in Orange Walk Town, one in Carmelita and one in Trial Farm.
One case each has been reported in Chunox and Corozal Town as well as San Pedro Town and San Roman, Stann Creek District, and three in Cayo: Bullet Tree Falls, Maya Mopan and San Antonio.
The Belize District is at 3,564 total cases; Cayo, 2,710; Orange Walk, 2,686; Corozal, 1,626; Stann Creek, 1,576; Toledo, 998; and San Pedro, 656.
