By BBN Staff: A Belize City man was charged this week for threatening to burn a woman’s house down as well as threatening to shoot her.
Sylvian Swift was arraigned in the Belize City Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday on charges of threatening words in relation to the complainant, Melissa Jones.
Swift pleaded not guilty to the charge, and since there was no objection, bail was granted in the sum of $500 plus one surety of the same which he was able to meet.
As a condition of his bail, Swift is to keep a minimum of 100 yards away from Jones.
He is due back in court on November 9.
