Over 230 new cases of COVID-19 confirmed

By BBN Staff: Health authorities have reported 233 newly confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the latest daily update.

The Ministry of Health and Wellness reports that the 233 new cases were detected from a sample batch of 1,979 tests.

The new cases were split between 127 females and 106 males, while the daily positivity rate stood at 12.3.

Belize has now confirmed a total of 20,801 reported cases.

There were five new deaths associated with the virus.
