Former Police officer and Belize Defense Force soldier Daniel Cacho dead at 67

By BBN Staff: Daniel Cacho, 67-year-old former police officer, and former Belize Defense Force soldier, has died.

We have confirmed that Cacho passed away this morning while receiving treatment at the Western Regional Hospital.

Cacho made the news several times this year, as his family desperately tried to get him blood donations.

This morning his niece took to social media to announce his passing and thank those who supported him as he battled the effects of a stroke.

“A pleasant good morning to all those donors who were able and willing to donate blood today towards my Uncle Daniel Cacho. Be informed that the blood will no longer be needed. God needed an angel so he took him this morning. Thanks very much,” she wrote.
