Motorcyle and taxi involved in accident at roundabout in Santa Elena

By BBN Staff: Motorcycle accidents have become a common occurrence in Belize, especially as the quality of our road networks have improved significantly.

On Monday afternoon, a red taxi and a motorcycle collided at the roundabout at the entrance of Santa Elena, Cayo.

While the motorcycle itself was damaged, no one was seriously injured.

It appeared that while the motorcyclist had entered the roundabout from the left and had the right away in this case, he was still hit by the taxi that was entering the roundabout from the right of the motorcycle.

Police canvassed the accident scene and the flow of traffic was not affected significantly.
